Family Impacted By Stratford House Fire Getting A Helping Hand The American Red Cross is assisting a Stratford family that is cleaning up the damage from a Wednesday afternoon house fire. Firefighters were dispatched to a Mary Avenue home at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, where there were reports of a structure fire, officials said. The call came as crews were cleaning up from an earlier fire on Howard Street. Fire officials said that the initial investigation determined fire originated on a kitchen stove and quickly spread to several nearby appliances and cabinets.
