Police In CT Investigating Assault Of Girl First Reported As Possible Kidnapping
Police in Connecticut are investigating after receiving numerous calls of an alleged kidnapping of a girl that turned out to be an assault. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22 on Golden Street in Meriden. According to Lt. Darrin McKay of the Meriden Police, after receiving the calls, officers responded to the area and found an unoccupied vehicle. Officers then went to the address of the car's owner and found a man who said he was involved in the altercation, McKay said. CT School Locked Down As Police Investigate Reports Of Student With Gun
A high school in Connecticut was placed in its lockdown protocol following reports of a student who was allegedly in possession of a handgun. In New Haven County, the Meriden Police Department responded to the Orville H. Platt High School on Coe Avenue shortly before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, where there was a report of a student possibly with the weapon. Three Pipe Bombs Located Under City Bridge; Bomb Squad Called In
State police bomb squad investigators completed a search of a body of water in Meriden after a third pipe bomb was located. The incident took place over the weekend sometime on Saturday, Nov. 15, or Sunday, Nov. 15, in the area by Red Bridge on Oregon Road, said Meriden Police Sgt. Darrin McKay. This was the third such device located in the water in the area of Red Bridge since the beginning of this year.
