Money, Credit Cards Stolen From Secure Locker At Darien YMCA, Police Say A man working out at the Darien YMCA had cash and money stolen from the men’s locker room, leading to thousands of dollars in attempted fraudulent charges, police said. Police said that a man reported to investigators that on Monday, Nov. 18, he left money and credit cards in a secured locker at approximately 1 p.m. at the YMCA. When he returned approximately 40 minutes later, he took his belongings and left the locker room. According to police, shortly thereafter, he received a message from his bank asking if he had attempted to make a $4,253.94 charge at Macy’s in Stamford. He later found…

Missing Cash, Damaged Locks Under Investigation At Darien YWCA, Police Say An investigation is underway into an alleged burglary involving missing cash and a broken lock at the Darien YMCA, according to Darien police. Officers responded Monday, July 8 to the facility at 49 Old Kings Highway North in regards to an alleged burglary, said police. A person reportedly told police she discovered the petty cash pouch located in her locked office drawer was empty, according to the report.
