A 63-year-old man is facing charges after police said he deliberately tampered with railroad tracks in Connecticut, causing damage that had the potential to derail a train. Detectives began investigating recurring damage to CT Department of Transportation-owned railroad tracks in the New Haven County city of Waterbury on Monday, May 23, according to Connecticut State Police. State Police Investigate Shooting Death Of Man On Busy Fairfield County Roadway
Connecticut State Police are investigating the shooting death of a man on Route 8 in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 3:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 15, when troopers assigned to Troop G-Bridgeport responded to the area of Route 8 northbound in the city of Bridgeport after receiving a 911 call regarding a shooting. Woman Rescued From Burning Car On I-95
Quick action by two witnesses to a car crash saved a Norwalk woman's life after she experienced a medical emergency on I-95. The incident took place around noon Wednesday when both Bridgeport resident Frederico Davis and Connecticut Conservation Police Officer John Hey witnessed a two-car motor vehicle accident in the area of the Black Rock Turnpike overpass, said officials with the Fairfield Fire Department.
