Driver Admits To Drinking, Driving During Stop In Fairfield County Multiple traffic violations led to the arrest of a 28-year-old driver who admitted to being drunk when he was pulled over by a patrol officer in Fairfield County, police said. An officer from the Darien Police Department reported that shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, a driver was spotted failing to fully stop at a stop sign at the intersection at Middlesex Road and Hoyt Street.
