Man Falls 15 Feet From Hot Air Balloon At CT Fairgrounds, Police Say A 69-year-old Connecticut man who was volunteering at a hot air balloon event fell 10 to 15 feet while hanging on to the outside of the balloon. The incident took place in New Haven County around 9:40 p.m., Sunday, July 23, in Guilford. According to Guilford Police Chief Christopher Massey, officers responded to the Guilford Fairgrounds for a report of a person who had fallen from a hot air balloon. IDs Released For Man, Woman Killed In Torrington Crash A man and a woman killed in a three-vehicle crash in Torrington have been identified. Danielle Dubois, 36, and Christopher Massey, 36, both of Torrington, were killed during a crash with a pickup truck and a small van, that took place around 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 24 in the area of Goshen Road and University Drive, said the Torrington Police Department.
