Police Investigating Shooting At Chili's Restaurant In Danbury
Police are investigating a shooting incident outside a Chili's restaurant in northern Fairfield County. The incident took place around 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 5 when officers responded to the Chili's Restaurant at 81 Newtown Road inn Danbury for the report of a disturbance with shots fired. A preliminary investigation found that two groups of people had a dispute inside the restaurant that then moved outside, said Capt. Bryan Bishop, of the Danbury Police. Chili's Reports Data Breach At 'Certain Restaurants'
Chili’s has become the latest chain to be impacted by a data breach. The popular eatery’s parent company, Brinker International, announced this week that some customer credit and debit card information has been compromised at several Chili’s locations throughout the country in March and April this year, though the scope of the data breach remains under investigation. "We sincerely apologize to those who may have been affected and assure you we are working diligently to resolve this incident," Brinker said in a statement.
