Rabies Warning Issued After Bat Found In Fairfield County Home Tests Positive Officials are warning residents to be on the lookout for suspicious behavior from any bats they encounter after a bat found in a Fairfield County home tested positive for rabies. The City of Bridgeport and Animal Control has been notified that a bat in a residence of the Brooklawn area has tested positive for rabies. As a result, animal control officials are warning residents to proceed with caution when coming in contact with stray and wild animals, especially bats.
