Man Attempts To Strangle Woman She Had Protective Order Against, Police Say
A 21-year-old man was arrested after allegedly strangling a woman who had a protective order against him and for attacking another man. Benjamin Sumner of Milford was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Friday by Milford Police after trying to strangle the woman by grasping her around the neck with his hands, and then hitting a man inside the home with his fist, said the Milford Police. The woman has a protective order against Sumner "prohibiting him from assaulting her," said the police report.
