CT Man Admits to Brutal Armed Carjacking After ATV Dispute
A Connecticut man who threatened and assaulted two people over a stolen ATV—one of whom had nothing to do with the theft—has pleaded guilty to a federal carjacking charge, officials announced.
Michael McCann-Ortiz, 24, of Waterbury, who also goes by “Bando,” admitted in federal court to his role in a brutal attack that left one victim seriously injured and ended with the theft of a vehicle, cash, and other personal items, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Connecticut announced Friday, Feb. 28.
