Alert Issued After Vicious Dog Attack In New Canaan
New Canaan Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the owner of what they described as a "vicious" off-leash dog that attacked and severely wounded a small dog last week. The attack took place in the back of South School, near Crystal Street, at about 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, when a shepherd-type dog who was unleashed at the time, attacked an on-leash mini-golden doodle, causing serious damage, said Officer Allyson Halm, head of the New Canaan Police Department’s Animal Control Unit.
