Plane Missing Off Coast Of Massachusetts, Coast Guard Says The United States Coast Guard is searching for a downed plane that departed Reading, Pennsylvania near Cape Cod, authorities say. The plane is a Piper PA-28 was reported missing on Sunday, Oct. 31 around 10 p.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said in an emailed statement to the Associated Press. Airman Who Grew Up In Fairfield County Killed In Crash A U.S. Airman from Bridgeport who died in a multiple-vehicle crash in Idaho will be remembered Sunday, July 1. Lawrence Manlapit III, 29, the son of Lawrence Manlapit, Jr. and Dorine Norko, who is a transportation specialist for the Bridgeport public schools, was killed June 16 in a multi-vehicle crash on I-84 outside of Boise, Idaho, said the Idaho State Police. Two other airmen and a truck driver were also killed in the crash, police said.
