Officials at St. Theresa School in Trumbull issued a notice to parents this week alerting them that a sixth-grade student tested positive for the virus, prompting the school to turn to remote learning through the end of the month.
The student was sent home following the positive test, as well as a teacher, and other students on the school’s soccer team, who all may have been exposed to COVID-19.
In response to the latest positive test, those who may have been exposed have been placed into a temporary quarantine and will continue remote learning through Monday, Nov. 30.
Other classes who may not have been exposed to the student will continue in-person learning, while custodial crews have been brought in to sanitize and disinfect the classroom where the student attended class.
