“I’m grateful to you for unanimously nominating me to again run for the honor of serving a third term as Newtown’s voice and representative in Hartford. I take seriously my responsibility to serve all residents and the needs of our community,” said Bolinsky in his acceptance speech.

“From a state perspective, I work to represent the conservative fiscal values and moderate social values common to our community. At the Capitol, I work well with other legislators and leaders, and advocate successfully to create, maintain and recover state resources on our town’s behalf, an accomplishment about which I am very proud. Considering the state’s economic woes, Newtown has done well getting its fair share on my watch.

“For Newtowners and all Connecticut residents, the 2016 election is about fixing our state’s economic problems and returning to prosperity. We must stabilize and grow state revenues organically, reversing the outward migration of people, employers and jobs, so our state can get a piece of the nation’s modest economic recovery.

“With my lifelong commitment to caring, responsive, personal constituent service, I am definitely Newtown’s best choice for state rep in November. I’m also proud to say, as Newtown’s representative, I enjoy very strong local support across party lines and among unaffiliated voters. I get things done. People know and appreciate that.”

Bolinsky is in his second term in the House of Representatives and serves as the Republican leader of the Aging Committee. He also serves as Newtown’s voice on the Education Committee and on the budget-writing Appropriations Committee.
