SOUTHBURY, Conn. — Two men from Massachusetts were killed in a fiery crash Friday morning after their car slammed into a tree near Exit 14 of I-84 in Southbury, according to Connecticut State Police.
The accident occurred at 9:45 a.m. Friday, and the off-ramp was closed until about 1:30 p.m. as State Police investigated the crash on the westbound side of I-84.
The two people killed were the driver of the Subaru Legacy, Warren Rynkar, 69, of Malden, Mass., and the lone passenger, John Rynkar, 26, of the same hometown, state police said.
