Just after 7 a.m. Sunday, police received multiple reports that a man was yelling that he was going to kill someone as well as a woman yelling inside a room of the Best Western Hotel at 11 Stony Hill Road.
The yelling was followed by a loud thump, police said.
Officers responded and attempted to make contact with the occupants of the room, however, there was no answer, police said.
Based on witness statements, officers believed a person was in need of help in the room and they forced entry into the room, police said.
Inside, they found only one occupant, Thomas Dellorso, 41, of 37 Williams St. in Danbury, police said. Officers found he had also damaged several items in the hotel room, police said.
Dellorso was charged with breach of peace, interfering with an officer and criminal mischief. Dellorso was released on $5,000 bond after his arraignment at Danbury Superior Court on Monday, Jan. 8.
