MILFORD, Conn. — A 27-year-old Bethel man was arrested on drunken driving charges after he crashed in a parking lot but told officers he thought he was on the Merritt Parkway, Milford police said.
Emanuel Cambra, of 110 Codfish Hill Road, Bethel, was arrested at 3 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, and charged with driving under the influence.
Officers responded after Cambra was involved in a one-car crash at 1 Corporate Campus on Wheelers Farm Road in Milford, police said.
Cambra provided a breath sample to officers that showed his blood alcohol content was elevated, police said.
When asked why he was in the parking lot, Cambra told officers that he believed he was on the Merritt at the time of the crash, police said.
He was released on $500 bond for a Sept. 7 court appearance.
