Brian Mansfield, 55, of 8N. Beach St., was charged with assault on a police officer, refusal to be fingerprinted and second-degree breach of peace.
On Election Day, Mansfield disrupted voting operations, was disruptive with polling staff, knocked over polling location materials and even disturbed a Girl Scout cookie sale, police said.
The next afternoon when police went to his home he is alleged to have spit at the officer and when hauled into the police station he refused to be fingerprinted, police said.
Mansfield is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Nov. 22.
