Man Arrested 5 Months After Fleeing Bethel Police

BETHEL, Conn. – A Brookfield man was arrested Thursday for fleeing Bethel police five months earlier, reports NewsTimes.

Justin McCurdy, 26, fled a checkpoint while officers were reviewing his license and registration information after he was stopped May 22 for not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.

A warrant was issued for McCurdy's arrest and he was taken into custody Thursday and charged with engaging in pursuit, interfering with an officer, reckless driving, misuse of plates, operating without a license, failure to obey stop sign and not wearing a seat belt.
