Mitchell Gleason, 23, of 2 Ives St., was charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, interfering with police and possession of marijuana. He was held on $50,000 bond for a court appearance Thursday.
Officers were called at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday to 21 Elizabeth St. on a report of a stabbing, police said.
When they arrived, officers found a man with a non-life-threatening wound to his head and a second individual who had also been physically attacked by Gleason, police said.
Gleason was found hiding nearby, and he was captured after a short foot pursuit when he tried to run from officers, police said.
Police said he threw away a small amount of marijuana during the pursuit.
Lt. Michael Michael Libertini said police are still investigating what prompted the knife attack.
