Bethel Police: Dad Drove Drunk With Baby In Car

BETHEL, Conn — A Bethel man was arrested after he fled from police while drunk with his 6-month-old child in the car, was arrested by police, according to the News-Times.

Randall Krizan of Deepwood Drive, Bethel, was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed on Plumtrees Road about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the News-Times. He was driving with heavy front damage to his Jeep, according to the story.

The News-Times reported that police learned Krizan had been involved in a crash near the corner of Plumtrees Road and Walnut Hill Road earlier, and his license plate was found at the scene. Police spotted him and tried to stop him but lost sight of him, according to the News-Times.

His Jeep was later spotted by officers on Grassy Plain Street and he was stopped, reported the News-Times.

The 49-year-old father was released on $10,000 bail after being charged with driving under the influence and risk of injury to a minor, according to the News-Times.
