Crash Snarls Traffic, Damages Utility Pole In Newtown

NEWTOWN, Conn. — A crash Wednesday morning caused headaches into the afternoon on South Main Street in Newtown.

Traffic was detoured for a few hours after a dump truck hit a pole on South Main Street/Route 25 near Cold Spring Road. 

The roadway reopened, but crews from Frontier and Eversource were called in to repair the pole and wires in the area.
