Joe Moravsky, a Monroe resident and News 12 Connecticut meteorologist who goes by the nickname "The Weatherman," will be at the grand opening from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. And yes, he, too, will be tackling the course.
The Shermon native who teaches gymnastics and parkour part-time at Vasi's International Gymnastics in Newtown, will also be available for photos and autographs with Sky Zone guests.
Moravsky, 28, is lauded for his success on NBC's hit TV show "American Ninja Warrior" and Esquire's Team Ninja Warrior.
The Sky Zone ribbon cutting will take place at 11 a.m., after which the Warrior Course -- featuring two lanes with different levels of difficulty -- will be open to the public to try for the first time. The first 100 guests will receive a free Warrior Course T-shirt.
Warrior Course obstacles include cheese boards, monkey box and Tarzan ropes. To keep it fresh, the obstacles can be modified, and new obstacles can be added. Sky Zone Bethel is one of just 20 Sky Zone locations across the U.S. that feature this new course.
The facility also boasts three new warped walls. The inverted walls will be at heights of eight, ten and 12 feet.
