Scattered Storms Will Be Followed By Change In Weather Pattern: Here's Labor Day Forecast

An unsettled stretch will be followed by a big change in the weather pattern in time for Labor Day.

The most likely time frame for storms on Sunday, Sept. 1, will be early to late afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers will be widespread on Sunday, from just after daybreak until late afternoon.

 It will be mostly cloudy throughout the day, with the high temperature at or just above 80 degrees.

Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 2, will be mostly sunny, with high temperatures in the mid-70s and comfortable conditions for the unofficial end of summer. (See the image above from AccuWeather.com.)

The overnight low temperature will have a fall-like feel, dropping to the low 50s in much of the region.

There will be plenty more sunshine on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and Wednesday, Sept. 4, with temps in the low to mid-70s.

The outlook for Thursday, Sept. 5 calls for mostly sunny skies, and a high temperature in the upper 70s.
