BETHEL, Conn. -- The famous striped-shirt character, who gained his fame hiding in detailed illustrations, will be hiding out in 25 different businesses in Bethel this July.
Fans of all ages can put their finding skills to use in a free contest, for a chance to win prizes. Candlewick Press, which has published the long-running "Where's Waldo?" series is partnering the American Booksellers Association and U.S. bookstores -- including Byrd's Books -- to celebrate Waldo's longevity and encourage local shopping.
Waldo will be hiding out in a wide variety of Bethel businesses, from Byrd's Books to Stony Hill Hardware. You can check out a list of the participating businesses here, and print that "Passport" or pick one up at any of the businesses.
The hunt will finish with a party on Saturday, July 30, for those who qualify with at least 20 of the businesses stamped on their "Passport."
For more info on hunting for Waldo, call Byrd's Books at 203-730-2973.
