Resiliency Center Of Newtown Invites Locals To Gala In Monroe

NEWTOWN, Conn. -- The Resiliency Center of Newtown is hosting the third annual Strenght in Community Gala in Monroe on Friday, April 1 at The Waterview with live music, a silent auction and open bar.

The Resiliency Center of Newtown provides trauma-informed assistance and referral services as well as community outreach. The program was founded a mother, community member and therapist for the community to help with healing following the December 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Programs and counseling services offered include music therapy, art therapy, play therapy, wellness groups and brainspotting.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails followed by a 7 p.m. dinner. Advance tickets are $125 per person and goes up to $150 after Feb. 1.
