The premium pet supply superstore will open Saturday, April 8 with an all-day grand opening celebration featuring raffles, refreshments, prizes, adoption information, goody bags, balloon art, magic, an Easter egg hunt and more.
The event will run from open to close, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Because community is an important mission of the Pet Valu promise, the new store has partnered with two local animal groups to facilitate pet adoptions and fundraising activities.
On Saturday, the Danbury Animal Welfare Society will be on hand with adoptable animals from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Ridgefield-based Looking Glass Animal Rescue at the store from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dog trainer Neil Hutchins Resto will also be available from 3 to 6 p.m. showcasing his services.
In addition, customers are welcome to check out the store's signature pet products and services including its self-serve dog-wash stations, toys, gourmet treats, and everyday pet supplies.
