BETHEL, Conn. -- Bethel residents will get a jump on celebrating Memorial Day and local veterans as the town hosts its annual veterans breakfast and parade on Sunday, according to the Bethel Bulletin.
Events get underway with a veterans breakfast at the Joseph W. Tarrant Jr. American Legion Memorial Post 100 from 7:30-9:30 a.m followed by a placing of wreaths at noon, said the Bethel Bulletin.
The parade kicks off at 2 p.m. with marchers parading down Greenwood Avenue to P.T. Barnum Square and left onto School Street, ending in front of the Hurgin Municipal Center, added the Bethel Bulletin.
