The inn will close on Sunday, Jan. 10, after dinner service, Ryder said in his post.
In a Twitter post, Ryder said that the decision to close was a hard one for him and his partners, but it will be harder still to say goodbye to the inn’s loyal staff and longtime customers.
The Inn was a go-to spot for locals looking for a quick lunch, leisurely dinner, or a place for special occasions and meetings, Ryder said in his post.
Proud Mary’s, the live music and tavern part of the inn, was, according to its website, “the coolest place to take your honey within 25 miles.”
As a thank-you to loyal customers, the inn will be offering reduced prices on special menu items and bargains on wines and spirits, Ryder wrote.
And to thank its staff, the inn is creating a bonus pool from a portion of its sales.
The inn’s menu featured everything from lobster corn chowder and roasted squash salad to New Orleans shrimp, catfish, and steaks.
The inn is located at 19 Main St. and can be reached by calling (203) 270-1876.
