BETHEL, Conn. -- The Bethel Chamber of Commerce is accepting resumes for the position of executive director, which is a part-time position.

The position reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall leadership and management of chamber programs, affiliates, staff, budget, operation and facilities.

Key responsibilities include membership recruitment, retention, community relations, marketing and strategic planning.

Bobbi Jo Beers announced earlier this month that she was stepping down from the position to focus on her own business. She has been with the chamber since 2011.

"Those of us who have been lucky enough to work with Bobbi Jo know how much time and effort she put into her role with the Chamber," said Brennan Purdy, chairman of the chamber's board. "I have seen many positive changes in the community and at chamber events thanks to her careful and thoughtful planning."

A resume and cover letter can be submitted to Brennan Purdy at brennan@brennanpurdy.com by May 20.
