Up to one quarter of an inch of ice is expected in areas farthest south, with snow accumulations of between 1 and 3 inches. Inland areas could see 2 to 4 inches of snow with up to 3 to 6 inches in parts of Northern Fairfield.

Hazardous travel caused by the mix of snow and ice as well as reduced visibility is expected.

Light snow, freezing rain and sleet could begin late Sunday morning in some spots, with snow and freezing rain becoming widespread Sunday evening, changing to snow from north to south overnight with a mix of snow, freezing rain and sleet throughout the day Monday.

The system is expected to taper off Monday night but icing overnight through early Tuesday is possible.
