Police are calling the death "suspicious" after a 20-year-old Hispanic man was found in a grassy area in Fairfield County. The man was found in Stamford around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18 near the pathway that connects Woodland Avenue and Walter Wheeler Drive. Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police said the man was found after the department received a 911 reporting a man lying on his back in the area. A 14-year-old Fairfield County boy has been arrested for allegedly shooting a man in the leg as he was walking down a city street. The incident took place in Stamford around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19 on Woodland Avenue. According to Lt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police, a 32-year-old Stamford man was shot in the leg as he was walking on Woodland Avenue. A 29-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested after police said he assaulted a woman and threatened her with a gun. Two Found In Vehicle In Fairfield County Died From Suspected Overdose, Police Say
Two men found inside a car in Fairfield County likely died from drug overdoses, police say. The men, believed to be in their 30s, were discovered around 3:45 a.m., Monday, Aug. 30 at the corner of Woodland Avenue and Pacific Street in Stamford after police received reports of the two being unresponsive. Capt. Richard Conklin of the Stamford Police Department said responding officers immediately began administering Narcan and CPR but were unable to revive the men. Norwalk Teen's Parking Violation Leads To Gun Arrest In Stamford
A local teenager was in the wrong place at the wrong time doing the wrong things and is now facing a weapons charge after being busted sleeping in an illegally parked car and fighting officers, police said. Stamford Police Officers Ryan Lee and Robert Bossone were dispatched to a Woodland Avenue home at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, where there was a noise complaint.
