Bomb Threats Leads To Evacuations Of 2 CT Schools, Police Say A bomb threat at two Connecticut schools caused evacuations and searches with bomb-sniffing K9 dogs and police officers from throughout the area.  The incident took place in Hartford County around 10:45 a.m., Friday, Feb. 17 in Windsor Locks. Woman Stabbed Multiple Times, Attacker Tased At CT Hotel, Police Say A Connecticut woman was stabbed multiple times and the attacker had to be tased twice by police before he could be subdued. The incident took place around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, May 20, when the Windsor Locks Police Department received a call about a stabbing at the Candlewood Suites, said Lieutenant Paul Cherniack of Windsor Locks PD. According to Cherniack, a hotel guest told officers he saw a man and woman struggling outside a room and he was holding a knife. Know Him? Police Asking For Public's Help Identifying Armed CVS Robber Police in Connecticut are asking for the public's help identifying a man who allegedly robbed at CVS at gunpoint. The incident took place around 8:12 a.m., Friday, Jan. 1, at the CVS located at 90 Main St., in Windsor Locks, said Lieutenant Paul Cherniack of the Windsor Locks Police Deparatment.  The suspect, described by the victim as a heavyset white male, entered the store and approached the clerk, Cherniack said. Police Searching For Man Who Jumped From Bridge Into Connecticut River State Police report that a man got out of his vehicle while on a bridge and jumped into the Connecticut River. According to the Windsor Locks Police Department, the man exited the vehicle on Sunday, Jan. 24, around 1 p.m., while on Dexter Coffin Bridge and jumped into the river.  The police department responded as did fire and other agencies to search for the victim.  As of Monday, Jan. 24, a body has not been recovered.  The identity of the victim is unknown at this time.

Arno Smith, 57, of Hartford, pleaded guilty to one charge of a Hobbs Act robbery, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Connecticut, said.
