Weston Man Allegedly Crashes Truck Then Flees Scene, Reports It Stolen, Police Say A Weston man was arrested after allegedly telling police that his vehicle had been stolen following an accident. William Pilato, 39, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 20, following an investigation into a crash that took place around 9 p.m. in the area of Cannon Road, said the Wilton Police Department. According to police, when officers arrived on the scene of the crash they found that a Chevy Silverado truck had run off the roadway, struck two utility poles, and continued for about 30 yards until it came to a stop. It happened just past midnight on Saturday, Oct. 26 on Route 53 near Michael's Way.  The driver, the lone occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The fire department and Weston Volunteer EMS responded to a single-car crash Sunday, July 14 on Weston Road near Woodhill Road, the department said. Jamestown Canyon Virus Found In Westport In New CT Mosquito Collection The mosquito trapping and testing program in Connecticut has revealed an increase in the number with the Jamestown Canyon virus, including one in Fairfield County, but no West Nile virus in the latest sampling. The number of mosquitoes collected the week of July 1 also spiked, up to 16, 485 from the week of June 24 when 13, 786 mosquitoes were collected, according to the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station.
