As of 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, United Illuminated Utility crews were reposing to 178 outages impacting 5,061 of the company’s 335,715 customers in Connecticut. Eversource was reporting that 68,437 of its 1,276,911 customers were still without power. One Killed In Overnight Weston Crash One person was killed in a single-vehicle overnight crash in Weston. It happened just past midnight on Saturday, Oct. 26 on Route 53 near Michael's Way.  The driver, the lone occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. One Injured In Weston Crash A driver was injured in a car crash in Weston over the weekend, according to the Weston Volunteer Fire Department. The fire department and Weston Volunteer EMS responded to a single-car crash Sunday, July 14 on Weston Road near Woodhill Road, the department said. Baby Owl Rescued From Middle Of Busy Roadway In Easton A baby owl was rescued by Easton Police when it was found sitting in the middle of a busy roadway. The Barred Owl was reported on the road during the evening on Thursday, May 23, on Beers Road, said the Easton Police Department. Officers Tamara French and Donald Kinahan responded and were able to pick up the baby and bring him back to the police station.
