William Pilato, 39, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 20, following an investigation into a crash that took place around 9 p.m. in the area of Cannon Road, said the Wilton Police Department. According to police, when officers arrived on the scene of the crash they found that a Chevy Silverado truck had run off the roadway, struck two utility poles, and continued for about 30 yards until it came to a stop. Broudy of Weston, formerly of Katonah, died at the Regional Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Danbury on Nov. 29 at the stroke of midnight, age 95 ½. She left on her own terms. Margaret (aka Maggie and Margie, depending on which circle of family and friends was in the room) was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lt. Colonel Morris H. “Steve” Broudy, in 2011. Raised in a small mining town in Tennessee, Margaret married Steve, another Southerner, and lived in Georgia for a while, eventually moving to “Yankee Land” in 1964.
