Woman Dies At Greenwich Hospital After House Fire A woman who died in a weekend house fire in Westchester has been identified. Cecelia Kussner, 85, was killed around 12:10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, in the fire at 490 Midland Ave. in Rye. Responding Rye Police and firefighters found fire coming from the second floor of the home, the department said. Rye firefighters made an aggressive attack inside the residence and while conducting a search and rescue the found Kussner unconscious on the second floor, the department said. Man Suffers Burn Wounds In Lewisboro House Fire Police are investigating a Northern Westchester fire in which a man was found suffering from burns in nearby woods. The fire took place 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at 250 Smith Ridge Road in Lewisboro, said New York State Police spokesman Trooper AJ Hicks. According to Hicks, the Lewisboro Police Department and state police responded to the area for a report of a man running through the neighborhood.
