School Goes On Lockdown After Student Brings Fake Gun; 2 Arrested: Police Two Connecticut high school students were arrested after one brought an airsoft pistol to class forcing administrators to go into lockdown, authorities said.  Police swarmed West Have High School on Friday, Nov. 15, just after 10 a.m. after a student reported seeing another student handle what they believed to be a handgun, authorities said.  The gun was not real, but airsoft weapons are designed to look like the real thing.  The student who brought the airsoft weapon left the school before officers arrived, but they found him nearby with the gun soon after, West Haven …

CT High School Football Player Dies Unexpectedly A 15-year-old Connecticut high school sophomore football player died unexpectedly, days before his team was to play in the Class LL championship game. Christopher Fidalgo-Pugh, of West Haven, died at the Yale New Haven Children's Hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 5, reported ABC affiliate WTNH News 8.   A cause of death has not been revealed. 10-Term CT State Rep, Newspaper Editor, Hudson Valley Native Richard ‘Dick’ Roy Dies At 76 A 10-term Connecticut State Representative and journalist Richard "Dick" Roy has died. Roy, of Milford, died Sunday, June 2. He was 76. Roy was elected the State Representative from the 119th district in Hartford. He went on to serve with distinction for 10 terms. He secured the passage of the state's first distracted driving bill as well as mandatory labeling of GMO products and the banning of pesticides on school property.
