Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For These Connecticut Counties With a round of storms moving from west to east in interior portions of the region, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for much of the area. The watch is in effect until 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4. A radar image of the region above from 2:45 p.m. Friday shows the storms.
