2 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured In Fast-Moving CT Apartment Fire Two people were killed, and another was seriously injured during a fast-moving apartment fire. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, at 25 Geneva Ave., in Wallingford. According to Chief John Ventura of the Wallingford Police, the Communications Center received a call reporting smoke from a residence on Geneva Avenue.  When police and fire arrived, they found a man outside suffering from severe burns, Ventura said. CT Woman Nabbed Stealing $38K From Fairfield County Resident, Police Say A Connecticut woman has been arrested for allegedly writing more than $38,000 in fraudulent checks from the account of a Fairfield County resident. An investigation into the incident began in Westport in June 2021 after a resident reported that an unknown person has used his personal information to write more than $38,000 in checks. Man Admits To Drug Charge Related To OD Death A Connecticut man has admitted to handing out the Adderall that led to a fatal overdose. Wallingford resident Timothy Estridge has pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of, amphetamine in court in New Haven, for his role in the death of a 38-year-old man.
