Busy Intersection In Area On Route 1 Closed Until Further Notice
A busy intersection in Westchester County will be closed until further notice. The King Street turnaround in Liberty Square accessed from traffic traveling south along North Main Street (Route 1) in Port Chester will be closed indefinitely, Port Chester village officials announced. The turnaround will be closed so village officials can investigate an "undermining of the roadway" and prevent large vehicles and commercial traffic from accessing the portion of the road. Commuters are asked to use alternate routes.

The super popular grocery store Wegmans Food Market is building its first store in Connecticut -- in Fairfield County. The store, which will be located in Norwalk, is currently in the planning stages with the city's Planning and Zoning Commission. Wegmans Norwalk will be located on nearly 11 acres of land off Connecticut Avenue, adjacent to route I-95. Motorist Flees Scene After Vehicle Fire Forces Closure Of I-95 Stretch In Fairfield County
A motorist fled the scene after the vehicle they were driving caught fire in the middle of I-95 in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 10:25 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, when the Fairfield Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a fire on the highway near Exit 19, in Fairfield, said the Fairfield Fire Department. On or about April 1, the City of Danbury will begin replacing the Reservoir Street bridge that crosses over the creek near the Bethel town line.
