CT Man Under Influence Flees Scene Of Crash, Police Say A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash while driving under the influence. The incident took place around 10:15 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8 in Waterbury. According to Connecticut State Police, troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 8 northbound, south of Exit #36, in the City of Waterbury.  One of the vehicles involved in the collision had allegedly fled the scene of the crash, state police said. Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Busy CT Roadway, Police Say A man was killed after being hit by a Toyota Avalon along a busy Connecticut roadway. The incident took place around 12:15 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 23, in New Haven County in the area of Thomaston Avenue, in Waterbury. When officers arrived on the scene they found a 60-year-old man who had been struck by the vehicle, said Lt. Robert Davis, of the Waterbury Police.
