Fairfield County Native Richard 'Beetle' Bailey, Beloved FD Chaplain, Dies
Richard J. Bailey, Sr., the longtime chaplain of the Brewster Fire Department, died Sunday, June 3, at home.
Bailey, 87, of Dover Plains, also worked for years as a tree surgeon at Coffin Tree Service in Tarrytown.
Born on February 18, 1931, in Danbury, he was the son of the late Myron A. and Blanche Bailey. He was married to Cynthia L. Ashby Bailey who predeceased him.

Stamford Resident Lindsay White, 33, Teacher In Wilton
Lindsay M. White of Stamford and formerly of Tarrytown died Jan. Friday, 5, 2018 after a long illness.
Born in North Tarrytown on Feb. 6, 1984, she was the daughter of Robert and Janis Cunitz Schrader.
Lindsay had been a teacher at the Goddard School in Wilton. After graduation from Sleepy Hollow High School, she went on to college and continued her education by earning two masters’ degrees. She will be remembered as someone who loved her family and friends dearly. S
