Earlier report - New Canaan HS Student-Athlete Elliott Kropf Dies Suddenly Elliott Kropf, a New Canaan High School senior and hockey player, was struck and killed by a train on Saturday, Sept. 14, a Metro-North spokesperson tells Daily Voice. Metro-North Restores Train Service On New Canaan Branch After Fallen Tree
UPDATE: Train service has been restored on the New Canaan branch, Metro-North announced. A downed tree had caused delays. Original story: NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan Branch Service on Metro-North is currently suspended Thursday afternoon due to a downed tree in the vicinity of the Talmadge Hill station. Substitute Bus Service will be provided for the 2:58 p.m. train departing Stamford making all stops to New Canaan. Riders should listen for announcements at the stations for service changes.
