Student Brings Suspicious Object To School In Fairfield County, Authorities Say A Fairfield County school was asked to shelter-in-place after a student brought a suspicious package to school. The incident took place early Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Rogers International School on Blachley Road in Stamford. According to Sg. Suspicious Package That Draws Bomb Squad Turns Out To Be Medical Kit, Police Say A suspicious package found at a Connecticut adult day treatment center turned out to be a medical kit. The package was found at the Institute of Living at 200 Retreat Ave., in Hartford on Thursday, April 1, said Hartford Police. Police and the bomb squad responded to the scene to investigate the package. Following an investigation, police said the package turned out to be a medical kit left in a bathroom.

Suspicious Package Closes Milford Police Office To Public The Milford Police Department’s front lot and lobby were closed for about an hour Friday afternoon to investigate a suspicious package. The department announced on Twitter the areas were closed around noon on Friday while officers investigated a suspicious package that was turned in at police headquarters. The department has since reopened after the package was removed from the area.  The department Tweeted: "CSP removed the suspicious item from the Milford PD and will safely dispose of it. The Police Department is deemed safe and is reopened to the public."

Suspicious Package Leads To Emergency Response In Westport A call regarding a suspicious package emitting a foul odor sent Westport police officers and firefighters to a Riverside Avenue address to investigate the situation. The call came in around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, for the package that had been delivered to the address on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, said Westport Police Lt. Jill Cabana. The building was temporarily evacuated while officials examined the package.
