Fairfield County Man Sentenced For Racketeering, Witness Tampering
A Fairfield County gang member has been sentenced to more than 24 years in prison for racketeering and witness tampering.
Shakale Brantley, also known as “Charlie Wilson,” “Kellz,” and “Man Man,” age 22, of Bridgeport, was sentenced Wednesday, Jan. 26, said Leonard Boyle, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
According to court documents and statements made in court, the FBI, ATF, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service, and Bridgeport Police have been investigating multiple Bridgeport-based gangs whose members are involved in narcotics trafficking, murder, and other acts of violence.

Two Charged In Hit-Run Of Bridgeport Firefighter
Two people have been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run in June 2019 that left a Bridgeport firefighter seriously injured.
Adrian Cauthen, 33, and Frances Marino, 33, both of Bridgeport, were arrested Thursday, Jan. 23, were charged in connection with hitting the off-duty fireman who was crossing Stratford Avenue when he was hit and left in the roadway, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran.
According to Gilleran, Erique McCalla, 46, was crossing Stratford Avenue around 11:18 p.m., June 28, 2019, when he was struck by a vehicle.

A Bridgeport man is dead and another in critical condition following a drive-by shooting in Fairfield County.
Len Allen Smith, 25, was fatally shot while sitting in a car parked at Union and Stratford Avenues around 12:27 a.m. Monday, said Bridgeport Police Spokesman Av Harris.
A second victim, Georgia Comacho, 33, also of Bridgeport, was in the back seat and was also shot, Harris said.
Both were taken by ambulance to Bridgeport Hospital, where Smith was pronounced dead. Comacho underwent surgery and is in critical condition, he added.
