A man who had allegedly murdered a woman earlier in the day in the Hudson Valley shot and killed himself in Connecticut in front of police when cornered. The incident began around 9 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31 in Rockland County when the Ramapo Police discovered a 56-year-old woman lying on the ground on Innwood Drive suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the Hillcrest section of Ramapo. Police Ask Public's Help After 2-Alarm Fire Is 3rd Blaze In Hours In Fairfield County City
Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying a man they believe may be involved in two fires. Sgt. Sean Scanlan, of the Stamford Police, said the department is working to identify the man who was caught on surveillance near two fires on Thursday, Sept. 29. A third fire on West Avenue around 11 a.m. Thursday is not believed to be a suspected arson, police said. Man Charged With DUI, Reckless Driving After Crash In Fairfield County
A Connecticut dump truck driver was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs after crashing the vehicle, causing severe injuries. The incident took place on Wednesday, May 19, when officers were dispatched to Hollow Tree Ridge Road and Allwood Road in Darien for the report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. A second mass vaccination site has opened in Fairfield County. The site, in the Harbor Point section of Stamford, opened on Monday, March 15, said officials with Stamford Health.
