Silver Alert Issued For 84-Year-Old Man Reported Missing In CT
Seen him? A Silver Alert has been issued by police in Connecticut as they attempt to locate a missing 84-year-old man who hasn’t been seen in more than a week. In New Haven County, the Hamden Police Department issued the alert for Thomas Passarello, who was last seen on Wednesday, December 8 at his home in the area of Dixwell Avenue and Route 15. Police said that Passarello is approximately 6-foot tall, weighing 165 pounds, balding, with a medium complexion. Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly robbed a taxi cab driver. The incident took place in Norwalk on Wednesday, Oct. 16, when the man got a ride from an Eveready Taxi Cab driver at the Darien Train Station and requested to be dropped off at Stop & Shop on Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk, said Norwalk Police Lt. A man got into it with a loss prevention agent after being busted allegedly stealing $65 in merchandise from a local grocery store. Officers from the Milford Police Department took custody of a suspect shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, following an alleged shoplifting incident from Shop Rite on Boston Post Road over the summer. Police said that Milford resident Jayson Rotz, 28, allegedly shoplifted more than $65 of items from Shop Rite on July 22, and proceeded to engage in a physical altercation with the loss prevention agent attempting to apprehend him. A wanted Fairfield County woman is in police custody after allegedly striking the shopping cart of a woman outside a grocery store whose child was inside, police said. Monroe resident Seemal Chaudry, surrendered herself to police on Thursday, Sept. 27, in regards to an active warrant that had been issued for her arrest dating back to an incident over the summer at Shop Rite on Boston Post Road in Milford. Shelton police are asking the public for help identifying a woman who stole the purse of an 86-year-old woman and then used her credit card to go shopping. The theft occurred around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, while the woman was shopping at the Shop Rite located at 875 Bridgeport Ave., in Shelton, said Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango.
