CT Man Shot During Carjacking, Police Say A Connecticut man was shot multiple times during a carjacking. The New Haven County incident took place in Hamden on Third Street near Dixwell Avenue around 6 a.m., Thursday, July 21. Officers responding to a report of shots fired, located a victim with gunshot wounds to the lower extremities. The victim, a 46- year-old male from Hamden, was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further medical treatment, said Det. Sean Dolan, of the Hamden Police. Woman Injured By Man Attempting To Steal Her Purse In CT Parking Lot, Police Say A Connecticut woman was seriously injured after being knocked to the ground in a plaza parking lot during a street robbery. The incident took place in New Haven County around 10:15 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 12,  in Hamden. According to Sean Dolan, spokesperson for the Hamden Police Department, the 83-year-old woman was walking in the parking lot when she was knocked to the ground by a young Black man who allegedly attempted to steal her purse. Student Stabbed Multiple Times Near CT High School Crisis teams will be on-site at a Connecticut high school after one student stabbed another. The stabbing took place around 2:15 p.m., Monday, Nov. 29, at a New Haven County city bus stop on Dixwell Avenue, adjacent to Hamden High School in Hamden. According to Sean Dolan, a spokesman for the Hamden Police Department, the stabbing was uncovered when a student approached School Resource Officer Jeremy Brewer in front of the school and said he had been stabbed.
