Wow! When word got out that Carlo Salerno was retiring and closing Salerno's Apizza, located in Stratford, the response was overwhelming. All things must eventually come to an end, including a pizzeria that has been a fixture in Fairfield County for over three-quarters of a century and is set to soon close as the owner looks to retire. Salerno's Apizza, located in Stratford at 1398 Barnum Ave., is set to close by July 2023 as owner Carlo Salerno looks to retire.
