Funeral Arrangements Set For Firefighter Killed Battling CT House Fire Funeral arrangements have been set for a Connecticut firefighter who died battling a blaze that broke out in a New Haven home last week. A Catholic service for New Haven firefighter Ricardo Torres, Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 20 in St. Mary Church on Hillhouse Avenue in New Haven. A burial with full departmental honors will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. Officials noted that masks will be mandatory while in the church.
